Mini Piling Contractors

Piling is a method of creating a foundation for a structure in sandy or unstable ground, by creating reinforced solid concrete columns. The piles can be spaced according to an engineer’s specification, or in a line to form a barrier or structural support. Normally a concrete beam is formed along the top of the piles, referred to as a capping beam. This adds further structural integrity to the system, offering a platform for further structural construction.

Piling and underpinning issues can often arise in buildings both old and new. The passage of time may cause walls to move, due to the poor quality of ground beneath buildings. Piling and underpinning techniques offered by Accubeam are the solution.

If ground conditions at your site are poor and traditional underpinning is not possible, then our expert team can use piling as an alternative remedy. Combining piles with needle beams, to support defective foundations or walls, is the solution.

Mini-piling is an ideal solution for foundation problems including -

Steel Cased Driven Piles

Steel cased driven piles are used for underpinning existing structures and to support new foundations. This system is ideally suited to unstable ground and soft or water holding sub soils.

Accubeam offer steel cased driven piling systems ranging from 150mm to 400mm diameter which are installed using drop hammer rigs.

Our range of piling rigs are specifically designed to work within restricted access and headroom situations. The majority of our rigs will pass through a standard doorway.

Auger Bored & Drilled Piles

An auger bored or drilled pile, often known as a CFA pile, is formed by drilling into the ground with a hollow stemmed continuous flight auger, to the required depth or degree of resistance. No casing is required. A concrete mix is then pumped down the stem of the auger. While the concrete is pumped, the auger is slowly withdrawn, lifting the soil on the flights. Reinforcement cages can be placed prior to pouring concrete and a shaft of fluid concrete is then formed to ground level.

Auger bored and drilled piles are used in conditions where driven piles are unsuitable. Safe working loads are dependent on the nature of the bearing strata into which the piles are founded.

Accubeam have drilling rigs that are particularly suited to working inside domestic properties and in low headroom or tight access areas. All of our rigs are designed to pass through a standard doorway and work within limited spaces.

Restricted Access Piling

Restricted access piling utilises a wide range of mini and medium size piling rigs to install piles and foundations on restricted access sites.

If you have a property with piled or deep foundations, mini piling will often be less expensive than digging conventional foundations and will always be quicker, easier and cleaner.

Many houses built in recent years have relatively deep foundations, making digging for foundations very difficult. The current high cost of removing and disposing of soil makes mini piling very cost effective. Our light and compact mini piling rigs can get around houses with very limited access.

Limited Access Piling Rigs

The Stealth T3000 is a specialist mini piling rig that has been developed especially for today’s limited access, low headroom, piling market. Although compact in size it boasts a large range of features. The T3000 features an extendable telescopic mast with adjustable tracking. This enables it to access restricted or limited access areas with ease. Its main applications for use are auger piling for up to 320mm diameter piles.

The TD500 Drop Hammer rig is a specialist mini piling rig that has been developed especially for today’s limited access, low headroom mini piling market. The TD500 features an extendable telescopic mast, with adjustable tracking, which enables it to access restricted or limited access areas with ease. Its main application for use is the steel cased piling system for up to 300mm diameter piles.
